Families of Primary Pediatrics,
Some exciting changes are coming to our practice! On August 11, 2020, Primary Pediatrics will join UCSF Benioff Children’s Physicians (UBCP), a part of UCSF Health.
Our practice has deep roots in the East Bay community. Primary Pediatric Medical Group was formed in 1996 from three private practices with offices in Oakland and Alameda. Two years later, we added our Castro Valley office. Over the years, we have grown so that we currently have a total of 9 clinicians and a very busy practice in the East Bay.
Our mission has always been and will continue to be to provide exceptional pediatric care to every family every day with a spirit of warmth, friendliness, and compassion.
Our affiliation with UBCP will allow us to continue to meet the medical needs of all our patients. There will be some changes, most notably to our medical records and billing systems. We ask for your patience while we learn and make these improvements. Most importantly, the people, offices, and style of practice that you have become familiar with will not change. That is our promise to you.
We are very excited about this transition and hope it will allow all of us to continue the journey of raising happy and healthy children together.
The Clinicians of Primary Pediatric Medical Group
Due to concern for the safety of our patients and staff, Primary Pediatrics will be canceling our drop-in hours on Saturday mornings in Castro Valley. As our community attempts to halt the spread of COVID-19, we must screen patients who have possibly been exposed and keep them away from healthy patients. As we are not able to triage appropriately at a drop-in clinic, we will be suspending Saturday clinics until further notice. Please contact the advice line if you have questions over the weekend, and we will be open normally during the week at all three locations.
Our goal is to provide exceptional pediatric care to every family every day with a spirit of warmth, friendliness, and compassion.
Happy, Healthy Families
