Pediatric Doctor

Primary Pediatric Medical Group is dedicated to your health and safety.
We understand you may be feeling concerned about coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. At Primary Pediatric Medical Group, all of our (3) facilities are following guidelines from public health authorities to ensure the health and safety of our patients, physicians, staff, and the community.
During this challenging time, video and telephone appointments are convenient and immediate ways to get the care you need from home. You can schedule these appointments by calling your primary care physician’s contact number as outlined below:
PPMG Contact Numbers
Alameda Facility: 510-523-3123
Oakland Facility: 510-433-1040
Castro Valley Facility: 510-881-4210
IMPORTANT advice on appointments in the medical offices
To help protect you and your family from possible exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19), at this time we strongly recommend that if you or a family member:
Have cough, cold or flu symptoms; or have been exposed to any ill contacts, please call your physician’s office to schedule a phone or video appointment instead of an in-person office visit.
Are scheduled for a routine check-up or physical and would like to delay until later in the year, please give us a call.
Have an urgent issue that is not covered above, please consider scheduling a phone or video appointment instead of an in-person office visit. Our physicians will provide guidance for your health concern and make recommendations for next steps. If an in-person visit is needed or recommended, we will be able to assist you for this urgent issue.
Advice on staying healthy:
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Wash your hands with soap and water regularly.
Alcohol hand sanitizers are also effective.
Try not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Stay home when you are sick (and keep sick children home from school).
Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. If you use a tissue, wash your hands afterwards.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

   **SATURDAY CLINIC UPDATE**

Due to concern for the safety of our patients and staff, Primary Pediatrics will be canceling our drop-in  hours on Saturday mornings in Castro Valley. As our community attempts to halt the spread of COVID-19, we must screen patients who have possibly been exposed and keep them away from healthy patients. As we are not able to triage appropriately at a drop-in clinic, we will be suspending Saturday clinics until further notice. Please contact the advice line if you have questions over the weekend, and we will be open normally during the week at all three locations.

You can call our office for advice during the day or our nurse advice line at 510-486-8344 after hours.
